A few weeks back I had the opportunity to watch the SyFy and Discovery channel's simulcast of The Challenger Disaster. Watching this film was a surreal experience for me because about two years ago I wrote a similar film called The Challenger. It was surreal watching scenes that were very similar to scenes that I wrote come alive on screen. So surreal to see how two very different people could write two similar works. Of course our scripts are not identical; their script is more political theater where mine contains more personal dramatic themes. I was proud to watch the film and very happy it got made for the simple fact that more real science films should be made. Perhaps next time I'll be first! :-)
